We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst. Data is fundamental to the development of risk models and the ongoing monitoring of their performance. Development of consolidated architecture and process improves operational efficiency and reduces the risk of data duplication or inconsistent processing by analysts.
Role is to assist in the development and implementation of an end to end data management solution for the collection of default & loss data for the Global Trade and Receivables Finance portfolio. A key part of the implementation will be to align systems / process to existing strategic initiatives and programmes, specifically related to Basel III, Model Enhancement Programme and the wider Group CDO Data Governance framework.
The implementation of an efficient, sustainable process to provide data required for wholesale credit and traded risk model development and on-going validation covers but not limited to model analytics for Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), plus Stress Testing and IFRS9.
The role will be expected to perform a hybrid of detailed system and data analysis, stakeholder management to Group and Regional teams, co-ordination and mapping of sub-function to Group requirements and interaction with project and IT teams. The objective is to move programme into BAU state going forward.
University degree in computer science, statistics, financial crime or related fields
Proven and progressive experience in financial services data analysis and/or application development;
Minimum 5 years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably in model analytics
Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills
Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues
Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex global issues
Knowledge of wholesale credit risk
Knowledge of data required for risk modelling
Strong data analytics background
Experience across a range of analytical tools
Open personality with effective communication skills
Strong data manipulation and analysis skills (e.g. SAS, SQL, Oracle, HADOOP)
Manages self to deliver own work within timelines
Work with colleagues and key stakeholders in an international team
Ability to organise presentations, training, workshops
