Business Overview & Role Description J.P. Morgan is one of the largest Global Custody and Clearing organisations in the world - with offices, operations and clients throughout the world. This role is responsible for leading the delivery of core product enhancements targeted tactical and strategic solutions to meet the extensive needs of the clients and prospects for the Global Custody and Clearing business. Our aim is to position J.P. Morgan as 'best in class' with clients and prospects. The Product Development Team also maintains and develop subject matter expertise, providing thought leadership in the Global Custody product space. The Product Development Team is multi-locational (London, Bournemouth, New York, Hong Kong) and is organized into functional groups each with a distinct and vital role in managing and delivering change for clients and the Custody Product Roadmap across:
Positions & Settlement
Foreign Exchange, Cash & Liquidity
This position will be located in Hong Kong and will have a primary focus on Foreign Exchange developments and its impact across all functional groups mentioned above. This position will report directly to the Regional Head of Custody Product Development in Hong Kong. The role will entail working directly with our business partners and clients to deliver competitive and robust product solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions, on time, and on budget;
Ensure product investment is clearly aligned to commercial business objective;
Identify & deliver profitable, efficient, and effective product enhancements;
Understand and analyze industry trends, regulatory developments and competitive landscape. Build business cases and drive execution of new product capabilities and/or entering new markets or target segments;
Work with the Product Management team to position the product and present key messages to external clients/prospects as well as to J.P. Morgan Senior Management;
Understand the risk profile of each initiative and ensure that it is compliant with group guidelines;
Understand the evolution of the markets in which we operate and incorporating change into the product roadmap(s);
Represent J.P. Morgan Global Custody at industry forums and events;
Required Skills & Qualifications: The successful candidate will have worked in a securities, investment / cash management and / or global custody environment for a minimum of 10 years in an Operations, Client Service or Product Management role and is/be able to:
Influence and negotiate across a globally distributed model to support the product strategy;
Be a team player with the ability to lead and motivate people across the bank;
Excellent written and oral communication, clarity of thought and the ability to express oneself clearly
Use problem solving / analytical skills to investigate, solution and deliver product enhancements;
A confident communicator in all mediums across varied audiences combined with the ability to interact with senior executives;
Self-motivated, quick learner, being the focal point of a virtual project team, comfortable with responsibility;
Being able to build relationships across teams;
Think outside of the box with the vision, energy and practical execution skills to help challenge the status quo to enhance client satisfaction and/or improve internal efficiencies;
Language: local language skills would be advantageous.
