Treasury and Chief Investment Office ("TCIO") is a division with the Firm's Corporate Sector that is independent of the Corporate & Investment Bank and all customer-facing lines of businesses.
TCIO's core mandate is to manage Firm's liquidity, structural interest rate, and Foreign Exchange risks. In addition, it manages the wholesale funding and capital raising activities for the firm, as well as the daily cash position. The group oversees the funds transfer pricing policies, and works closely with the various lines of business in establishing the principles of how funds are valued across the firm.
Position Description: Manages TCIO function for various JPMCB entities and oversees TCIO activities of Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, India and Vietnam. The incumbent is required to (1) ensure that the team understands and complies with all relevant policies and procedures for managing risks and applicable regulations, (2) work closely with local and Asia senior management teams, and (3) partner with the operating businesses on new business and product initiatives. This role will functionally report to the Regional Treasurer of Australia/NZ, HK, India and ASEAN for TCIO responsibilities, and locally to SCO of JPMCB NA Singapore from location governance perspective.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Oversight of the Treasury/CIO staff in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, India and Vietnam
Oversight of day to day funding/liquidity communication to Asia Senior Management and internal control functions
Oversight of the management of assets/liabilities to ensure the execution of them are in line with the firm-wide framework across supervised countries
Oversight of JPMCB Branches' s daily cash position and cash management activities
Partner with the banking and markets lines of business to help deliver solutions considerate of balance sheet composition and funding
Participate in the regional Risk, Capital and Liquidity Committees
Oversight of management of the funding, liquidity, structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk
Oversight of management of the investment book
Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of balance sheet management and support area functions
Understands the different types of risk in treasury activities
Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
Strong approach to the control environment
