The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) is accepting applications for the position of Associate Head Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field Coach (R98865). UA Little Rock is a NCAA Division I school and member of the Sun Belt Conference. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: coach men’s and women’s distance athletes; coordinate home cross country meet; assist with team travel arrangements; log recruiting and practice activities in JumpForward software; compliance with all NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and institutional rules; recruit and evaluate prospective student athletes; assist with maintaining Track & Field social media accounts; assist with ordering team gear; assist with managing student athlete academic support; assist with fundraising and assist with coordinating team community service events. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with three (3) years of experience coaching athletes in distance events at the NCAA level. Candidate must have experience recruiting student athletes with outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge of NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and University rules; Knowledge of budgeting processes; Ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel.
