The Fire Wise Extension Program Assistant II is responsible to the County Extension Director. This position will work 20 hours a week and will support county work; duties include:
Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating the disaster education programs targeting eligible audiences in Sevier, Blount and Cocke counties described in the grant Work Plan.
Conduct and teach programs individually and in group sessions.
Work closely with County Extension Director, Regional Director, University of Tennessee Extension specialists and local government officials in planning implementing, and evaluating total education program based on identified needs in the project Work Plan.
Assure program implementation, delivery of evaluation activities are in compliance with the grant guidance and established policies and procedures of the program and for Extension.
Assist Extension and local government staff with curriculum development and training activities.
Other duties related to Agricultural & Natural Resources and Community Economic Development programming as needed.
Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
Assist with other duties as assigned by County Extension Director.
