The Communication Associate focuses on supporting the broader Americas communications team who execute media strategies to further MIS's ratings and research objectives. This includes:
Serving as the first point of management for external media enquiries by managing the Moody's Press line; actions media enquiries and escalates urgent matters to management.
Manages media databases including Cision, and maintains media lists and other source of information used for media outreach.
Provides support to social media content creation by managing the social media image library and by preparing and posting social media content.
Provides media strategy support to one or more media strategists.
Supports monthly media reporting activities.
Manages NY media studio and related technology across the firm.
May accompany NY-based analysts to onsite interviews or conduct entry level media training to new analysts.
Monitors, analyzes and reports on US media coverage on MIS research and opinions and identifies successes and potential risks.
When necessary, align with global colleagues in other regions in Asia Pacific and in the Americas.
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in communications, public relations, and/or journalism, ideally within the financial services sector or corporate environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in writing for social media.
Strong detail orientation and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong positive attitude, with sense of self-motivation and accountability.
Adaptable, flexible, and open to change.
Strong technical/computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint Software.
English fluency/proficiency is essential; an additional language is helpful
