Holland & Hart is seeking an experienced government contracts attorney to join its Denver, Colorado, or Washington, D.C. office. (Other office locations may be considered.) We are seeking candidates with at least five years of government contracts experience. Prior government service, some litigation experience, and strong business development skills are desired.
Candidates must be very familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and agency supplements, as well as relevant federal court and agency decisions, and federal procurement policy including OMB guidance. Candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred: bid protests, the Contract Disputes Act, the False Claims Act, public/private partnerships, Small Business Administration regulations and contracting, General Services Administration regulations and contracting, intellectual property rules and regulations, M&A considerations for government contracting including federal novation/assignment actions and CFIUS requirements, NISPOM requirements for federal contractors, federal grants, SBIR and STTR contracting, cost principles/CAS and DCAA/DCMA audits, debarment and suspension actions, information/cyber security, and federal government contract compliance and enforcement. Although the position will be focused primarily on contracting at the federal level, state level procurement experience will be an added element for consideration. Candidates must have an outstanding academic record, strong drafting and negotiating skills, and attention to detail. References will be required.
