1. Recommends the design and implementation of procedures and protocols under the direction of the Principle Investigator. Acts as a primary resource to faculty, staff and Federal officials regarding the functioning of the VERDICT study. 2. Ensures data results are compiled, analyzed, and presented properly. Anticipates evolving data needs and pro-actively leads the effort to ensure VERDICT compliance with all data use agreements and policies. 3. Analyzes, develops and interprets portions of the scientific results. Maintains clear documentation of results. Prepares scientific reports for internal tracking and a subset of these data for papers, research proposals and published reports. 4. Is responsible for the development of IRB documents at both Yale and VA, processes for the organization of data collection and writing of reports to NIH in the multi-site clinical study. 5. Interacts with internal and external contacts at all 4 sites. Fosters good communication among the multiple research teams and their customers who include national stakeholders from DOD, VA and NIH. Participates in meetings to detect problems, develop solutions and identify best practices to be disseminated across all study sites 6. Consults on research methods and keeps abreast of information and developments. 7. Manages the planning, development, and implementation of new or revised internal standard operating procedures and best practices through organization and management of Electronic Health Record data and Data Sharing groups for all 4 study sites. 8. Coordinates activities across all 4 study sites and partnering academic institutions to manage study participant involvement, develops recruitment strategies, ensures proper handling of screening patients, determining eligibility, obtaining consent, enrolling patients and performs outcome assessments, including those of any adverse effects and collects data. 9. Performs independent research, participates in experimental research planning and investigates, analyzes, and reaches preliminary scientific conclusions. 10. Collaborates with the Principle Investigator in the design, testing, implementation and evaluation of survey instruments as necessary. 11. Provides training and oversight to study clinicians and additional staff at all 4 sites on tools, processes and procedures. 12. May perform other duties as assigned.
