The George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, MBA. This position is primarily responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the program including: student services, event planning, program logistics, and being a liaison with the MBA faculty. This position reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Director of the Graduate Academic Services.

Responsibilities: The Assistant Director has the following responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Professional MBA program including program logistics, global residency and elective selection logistics, monitoring of budget. Conduct mid-module course evaluations for feedback. Responsible for developing and enhancing processes to enable the program to operate in a more successful manner. Provide input on budget planning and provide support and reports as needed for budget execution. Supervision of any wage employees assigned to the programs. Assist other graduate programs Assistant Directors and Program Managers as needed.
Student Liaison and Advising:
Serve as main point of contact for students in the MBA, Business Analytics graduate certificate, and Business Fundamentals graduate certificate programs regarding academic advising, graduation, and policy compliance. Monitor students' degree progression and communicate registration requirements to Director of Graduate Academic Services. Serve as advisor for MBA Student Association organization. Organize and run modular cohort representative meetings in conjunction with MBA Program Director. Work with INTO Mason to prepare Pathway students for possible transfer into MBA program.
Wiley Online Program Support:
Support online students through communication and collaboration with Wiley online team. Prepare materials and support advising through online orientation. Serve as advisor for students transitioning between delivery modes. Work with faculty and Wiley staff to coordinate course delivery schedule and monitor enrollments.
Manage program vendors (promotional items, catering, speakers, etc.) including developing requests for proposals and managing vendor selection. Utilize the eVA system, Catering System, and other procurement systems to process purchases for programs.
Event Planning and Recruitment Support:
Provide event planning for MBA program events including but not limited to MBA Industry Summit, MBA Program Immersion, and graduation dinner. Ensure all events are properly planned, scheduled and communicated. Support recruitment events in support of graduate enrollment and admissions.
Strategic Planning and Development:
Responsible for contributing to strategy development and implementation for the MBA program including program positioning, increasing competitive advantages and partnering opportunities.
A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities;
Ability to manage budgets;
Strong customer service skills; and
Excellent attention to detail.
A master's degree is preferred;
Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills;
Expertise and experience working with graduate-level students and online programs; and
Familiarity with a university environment including an understanding of the organizational and governance structure of major colleges and universities.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
