Job Type: Staff Job Description: Assure the effective and efficient operation of all curricular events utilizing the services of the department including planning, scheduling and execution of events. Ensures all events have adequate human and physical resources to ensure a positive learning outcome for the students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Simulated patient scheduling to ensure coverage, distribution of materials and instructions for all labs, simulated patient events, small groups and simulations.
Create and distribute schedules for patients and students for all simulated patient encounters, and simulations.
Provide simulated patients with materials needed for all simulated patient encounters and others events held in the department.
Coordinate simulated patient candidates interviews, ensure all new hire documentation is complete, when appropriate, schedule and coordinate new hire orientation.
Coordinate facilities reservations, physical resources and IT support as needed for all events.
Serve as primary contact for simulated patients and facilitate communication between simulated patients, department and KCU faculty and staff.
Prepare physical space(s) prior to all simulation events. Ensure rooms and equipment needed for events are in place and ready for use. Return of all equipment to storage after events.
Program and control simulators during simulations as needed.
Program and control BLine during all events.
Maintain departmental inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience with simulation and simulated patient methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
CHSE or CHSOS certified or eligible to become certified
