The Gannon University Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences seeks an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. This one-year appointment is a nine-month position that begins August 2019. The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours in the academic year. Specific teaching responsibilities will include physiological and general chemistry lectures and laboratories for science and health professions majors. The candidate may have the opportunity to teach additional introductory or upper-level courses within the chemistry curriculum that align with the candidate’s expertise. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely-related field. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions. Following this initial temporary appointment, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for a teaching track faculty position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, to begin August 2020.
