The School of Education Office of Communications at the University of Michigan is seeking a Web Content Administrator. The role includes supporting SOE public websites, digital marketing initiatives, and web content management. The Web Content Administrator improves and executes processes and controls to ensure a high quality user experience. The incumbent will collaborate with content managers, editors, designers, developers, and others to specify, improve, and implement the look, feel, and function of web projects, email campaigns, digital signs, and microsites.
Develop and carry out web governance for external and internal sites
Manage web content related projects, schedules, and deliverables
Frequently update content in the CMS (Drupal 8)
Improve and execute best practices to ensure a high quality user experience and support web projects with usability enhancements
Contribute to content development strategy for new and existing digital channels
Create custom HTML emails and templates
Serve as a liaison between SOE website stakeholders and the Office of Communications
Manage digital signs (touchscreens) throughout the building
Produce and optimize SOE website assets (graphics, documents)
Support and troubleshoot website and CMS issues
Utilize U-M identity and branding standards
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or 5+ years of work experience in web content management
Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator

Ability to respond positively to changing priorities
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Web API's, Mobile Apps/Responsive Design
Experience with social media content integration
Experience working in a high-volume marketing and communications department
