Lincoln Pediatric Group (LPG), a 12-Physician Pediatric Practice located in Lincoln, Nebraska is currently seeking a Practice Administrator. LPG is looking for a candidate to provide visionary leadership, direction, and administration to all aspects of Practice Management activities including business development, operations, fiscal management, human resources, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, integration with the community and related lines of business to ensure accomplishment of Practice Objectives. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Provides leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of clinic activities to ensure accomplishment of its objectives. Oversees performance of all personnel.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Board of Directors.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Directs, supervises and evaluates Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, and all other non-physician clinic staff.

Participates with the Board of Directors in developing and implementing the clinic’s mission in response to the changing needs of the community.
Recommends, develops and updates strategic and long-range plans as needed to support the clinic’s philosophy and goals.
Informs the Board about current trends, issues and other developments to facilitate policy making and ensure organizational success.
Develops and implements clinic policy.
Participates in selection and training of new physicians.
Directs, performs, or approves the selection and training of all non-physician staff.
Coordinates with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other clinic personnel the monitoring of clinic activities to ensure quality health care.
Promotes effective communication and progress toward clinic goals.
Prepares, coordinates, and/or monitors all clinic contracts to maintain contractor compliance and financial controls.
Ensures the short and long-range financial health of the organization.
Oversees all accounts payable and receivable activities.
Manages cash, securities, or other financial instruments to promote optimal financial health.
Ensures the provision of affordable healthcare services through optimal acquisition, utilization and organization of resources (human, financial and physical).
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs and physical properties and initiates appropriate changes.
Encourages the integration of the clinic with the community through effective communication and public relations programs as indicated.
Represents the clinic in its relationships with other health care organizations, government agencies and third-party payors.
Directs and supervises all clinic staff and activities directly or through supervisory personnel. Directs, consults with, and advises work teams on a regular basis.
Provides guidance to clinic personnel in establishing department philosophies and objectives related to staffing and performance standards, policies and procedures, job classifications and compliance with governmental regulations.
Serves as a liaison between the board and its committees, the supervisory staff and other staff.
Works closely with managing partner in all aspects of the clinic operation.
Promotes high employee morale and a professional clinic atmosphere.
Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current in the latest trends in medical group administration.
Coordinates and monitors the efforts of consultants, attorneys, accountants and other contracted professionals on behalf of the clinic.
Evaluates all non-physician staff at regular intervals directly or through supervisory staff. Disciplines or terminates all staff when indicated.

Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operations of a large pediatric group. Knowledge of the purposes, policies and organization of various health care providers and facilities sufficient to interact successfully with hospitals, specialty care physicians, other primary care physicians and ancillary providers in the community. Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures sufficient to direct its operations successfully. Knowledge of the principles and practices of employee development sufficient to ensure organizational productivity. Knowledge of computer programs and applications. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve a high degree of organizational success. Skill in maintaining a positive relationship with employees, third-party payors, patients, physicians, hospitals and the public. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports. Solid understanding of health care finance and medical practice financial management. Knowledge of business law, human resources law and health care law.
