Responsible for the overall organization, coaching, supervision, recruitment and administration of NCAA Division III men's tennis program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duty to coach and mentor student-athletes in the game of tennis.
Organize and supervise all practice and match situations.
Recruit student-athletes within the rules and philosophy of both the NCAA and Salve Regina University. This includes attendance at all Admissions Office open houses in the fall and spring.
Assume complete responsibility for all equipment and uniforms issued to team members.
Work closely with the equipment manager to facilitate the immediate return of all such equipment and uniforms at the completion of the season.
Attend all department and conference meetings.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with internal support personnel to include the Athletic Trainers, Sports Information Director, Office Coordinator, Compliance Officer and Game Management Supervisor in the performance of their duties.
Perform other such duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of coaching experience are required, master's degree highly desirable.
Must possess current CPR/First Aid certification.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Must have the ability to work with traditional-aged college student population.
Knowledge of Windows-based computer applications is preferred.
Candidate must be committed to a philosophy that emphasizes academic priorities and good citizenship both on and off the field.
