Assists Internal Auditor with preparation and gathering of documentation for outsourced internal audits, follow up schedules, and central storing of reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists with collecting documentation of all departments for quarterly audits to ensure recording of transactions are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintains electronic tracking document of audit findings and management responses.
Establish working effective relationships with management and staff.
Must maintain confidentiality and handle delicate circumstances delicately.
Assists with annual external audit and Regulatory examinations via document gathering and performance requested audit procedures.
Reviews records pertaining to staff and material assets, such as equipment and buildings, to determine degree to which they are utilized.
Coordinates the data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
Keeps the department manager informed of progress and/or difficulties in carrying out the audit function and makes recommendations for improving operations.
Assists with risk assessments, audit department policy updates, along with the performance of special projects or studies as required by management.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree or equivalent required to six months to one year related in banking preferred. Basic knowledge of accounting and banking rules and regulations. Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel and the ability to learn CSI Nupoint.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Largely sedentary role, requiring the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, fax and copier machine, and telephone.
