Description THIS IS A CAREER POSITION WITH AN END DATE OF JUNE 30, 2021 FOR FUNDING PURPOSES ONLY and is in Sacramento, CA. The position reports to the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) in the Department of Public Health Sciences. The core activities of the COEH are to educate future leaders in occupational and environmental health, develop new knowledge, and bring the resources of the University of California to people affected by health hazards in their workplaces or communities. The Department of Public Health Sciences is a large comp/ex teaching, research and clinical department in the UC Davis School of Medicine. The position supports the mission of the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) within the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

PREFERRED -Bachelor degree in Geography, Computer Science, Public Health or related field, or equivalent work experience. -3-5 years of GIS analyst experience in a collaborative environment. -Experience creating GIS web map, analysis, python scripting, ArcGIS online. -Experience working with multi-lingual and varying demographic audiences. -Experience developing workflows using ArcGIS online, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS server experience. -Experience working on teams with system implementation methodology and enterprise integration. -Demonstrated skills of current mobile and desktop development patterns. -Knowledge to create user guide materials and documentation of technical development process

Responsibilities Under general direction of the Chief, Enterprise Services Section (ESS), ITSD at the California Department of Public Health and the supervision of UC Davis, the GIS Analyst 2 assists in GIS work used for enterprise systems within CDPH.
