Qualifications REQUIRED -Two years or more recent experience performing payroll functions as primary duty, preferably in an environment with union contracts and shift differentials -Intermediate to advanced systems skills and multiple platforms including mainframe, windows-based, customized applications -Knowledge of Time and Attendance systems -Knowledge of general accounting principles as they relate to payroll -Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy -Strong problem solving skills attention to detail, accuracy -Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities The Payroll Representative (payroll title: Assistant IV) follows current established department procedures and guidelines for performing payroll record keeping functions and meets Payroll deadlines, utilizing a clear understanding of collective bargaining agreements, policies and procedures, and applicable governance. Works with attention to detail and with critical review processes to avoid errors to accurately process time and attendance data for payroll on a biweekly and monthly basis for over 10,000 School of Medicine, Primary Care Network, and Hospital employees. Reviews Time and Attendance reports for timesheet completeness, reconciles leave balances, preparation of final check request for final payments and advance check requests. Responsible for preparation of disability forms, workers compensation payments, corrections to pay, salary expense transfers, replacement of lost and stolen checks, and verification of employment. Provide support and troubleshooting for payroll related matters, customer service and training.
