Position Title: Assistant Women's Soccer Coach-Part-Time
Reports to: Director of Athletics and Wellness Center
Assists the head coach in coaching, supervising and developing an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season and off-season programming, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist head coach in establishing team goals for season and insure that they are in line with those of the entire MassBay Athletic program.
Responsible for recruiting and training eligible players, organizing, implementing, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the team sport and for attending practices and games.
Responsible for knowledge of and adhering to league rules and best practices pertaining to sport techniques, rules and regulations.
Communicate daily with Assistant Director of Athletics regarding season progression including details regarding practices, game results, and player eligibility.
Distribute and collect all team equipment to players throughout the season.
Represents the university and team at all appropriate athletic events (e.g. competitions, conferences, and college sanctioned programs such as open houses)
Assists with game day set-up and breakdown
College, high school, or club coaching experience
College or high school playing experience
Salary Range: $4,000 per season
Start Date: September 1, 2019
