The internship program at Aerojet Rocketdyne has grown over the years and we're looking for a Talent Specialist with experience in early career programs to join our HR team to further develop and enhance our Internship and Early Career Programs. This position could be located at our office in Sacramento, California; Redmond, Washington or Canoga Park, California.
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition and working in close partnership with HR Business Partners, you will develop and execute a comprehensive Internship and Early Career Programs for Aerojet Rocketdyne. This role encompasses campus relations, internship recruitment, internship program design and coordination, development of early career programs and career paths. Typical duties:
Engage with organizational managers and senior leaders to refine/develop an enterprise-wide campus recruitment strategy. Includes defining enterprise- wide national partner colleges and regional partner colleges with a tiered structure of level of support.
Plan and orchestrate campus relations and recruitment activities with targeted universities to establish and maintain Aerojet Rocketdyne as an employer of choice and to drive qualitative involvement with the schools to attract students into summer intern and future full time employment positions.
Build new relationships and cultivate existing relationships with our targeted campuses, career services offices, university faculty, and targeted student organizations.
Manage and monitor the internship cycle, focused on continuous improvement and the support of recruitment follow-up with former interns.
In partnership with HR and management, lead the development of clearly identified career paths for early career professionals, fostering employee retention and leadership development.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Direct experience in leading campus relations and internship programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of interviewing and hiring practices, including coaching hiring managers on effective and appropriate practices.
Must be able and willing to travel to universities and Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities throughout the United States, including partnering with site teams (HR and leadership) to coach and support campus partnership activities in their area.

Experienced in project and program management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skill influencing others without authority and developing strong interpersonal relationships.
Familiarity with recruitment of engineering and manufacturing skill sets is preferred.
Experience in the use of Talent Acquisition systems is preferred.
