University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont’s academic medical center and founding member of the University of Vermont Health Network, seeks a Pharmacy Compliance & Billing Specialist.
The UVM Medical Center (UVMMC) Pharmacy Compliance Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Pharmacy is compliant with the laws and governing regulations promulgated by all appropriate Federal and State regulatory agencies. The Compliance Billing Specialist works throughout the pharmacy department ensuring that all Federal and State pharmacy related compliance policies are being strictly followed. The Pharmacy Compliance Billing Specialist acts as a consultative resource to UVM Health Network affiliate hospital staff members, providing them with information, expertise, and guidance related to pharmacy compliance/billing matters. The UVMMC Pharmacy Billing Compliance Specialist works in conjunction with other pharmacy/compliance personnel toward ensuring the integrity of the 340B program.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or Business required. Licensed/registered pharmacy technician in the State of Vermont required. CPC (Certified Professional Coder) is preferred and required within 12 months of hire. A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities were acquired may be considered.
Five years of progressive compliance/billing experience in Pharmacy required. May substitute equivalent experience in accounting / finance with a familiarity with pharmacy billing/compliance practices. Preference to experience working with compliance and regulatory policy, and pharmacy billing processes.
