The County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS) provides technical assistance and training to county government. This position is with the Information Technology Services group of CTAS but also works with the Training department. The person who holds this position is primarily responsible for creating, managing and updating online training programs and micro learning for county officials.
Duties and Responsibilities: *Designs/creates online courses for county officials, including course content, graphics, exercises, and assessments, to adhere to IPS course development standards. Imports internally created and externally created online courses to LMS and tests courses for accurate user completion tracking. *Oversees quality control on existing online courses to ensure links and courses are current. *Develops and delivers live classes in the use of CTAS Electronic Library and other programs as assigned. *Assist staff members in designing classroom courses, including course content, exercises and assessments, to adhere to IPS course development standards. *Plans and coordinates recording of micro-learning for website. Includes creation of content, graphics, exercises, assessments, audio recording and editing, to adhere to IPS course development standards. *Plans and executes special projects pertaining to training and information dissemination. Special projects may include recording video and audio of classroom classes, editing footage and posting product for delivery via learning management system. *Creates and updates information for the online county government library. Help assemble office specific compilations of information in online county government library. *Assists with management and updates to CTAS website. *Assists CTAS training department with various functions including assisting customers with online course completion issues, selection of external online training for certifications, and management of the learning management system
