Job Code: 4123 Job Grade: K Stanford School of Medicine (SOM) seeks an Administrative Director to help lead the WellMD Center (Center), an innovative and nationally recognized program in the field of physician wellness. The Administrative Director, reporting to the Chief Wellness Officer (CWO), will lead strategic planning and program development; department operations and administration; evaluation and analysis; marketing and outreach; and resource allocation and management. The successful candidate will have previous experience in senior leadership roles and a successful track record in promoting and managing large-scale institutional change using measured risk-taking and creative thinking.

In conjunction with the CWO, lead all WellMD Center strategic planning efforts, both short-term and multi-year. Translate the visonthat physician wellness is a critical and essential business component of the school and hospitalsinto detailed, tangible, and attainable strategic plans.
Work with senior Stanford Medicine leaders to identify, develop, and implement strategies and initiatives that target improvement in Stanford Medicine's culture of wellness, efficiency of practice, and personal resilience. Create a culture and encourage an environment that fosters innovation and change. Anticipate emerging trends and develop leading-edge strategies and plans to prepare for them.
Design and execute business plans and programs that enhance WellMD's effectiveness. Work with the CWO and the WellMD team to develop a menu of physician wellness offerings for SOM and the hospitals, and then help manage the programs from concept to execution.
Establish clear objectives, metrics, and analytics to evaluate the performance of Center programs and resources. Prepare progress reports, including an in-depth annual summary of activities and evaluation. Develop new programs and initiatives based on feedback and data including the Stanford Wellness Survey. Utilize national benchmarks to compare performance with best practice.
Craft an outreach strategy across Stanford Medicine that promotes physician wellness as an essential business component. Identify conferences, events, and symposia at which to present the Center's achievements. Contribute to presentations, publications, a newsletter, and the Center website. Represent the Center to internal and external local communities, regional, national, and international audiences.
Explore grant and philanthropic opportunities that support the Center's programmatic goals. Develop relationships with foundations and government granting programs. As expertise develops, write LOIs and full applications and manage awarded grants.
Develop and manage the Center budget, finances, and reporting throughout the entire financial cycle and across all revenue sources. Allocate funds appropriately, including transfers to and from SOM and the funds flow interactions with the hospitals.
Supervise, manage, mentor, and develop at least two direct reports: the Director of Strategic Projects and the Center Administrative Assistant.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
