Create reports and/or applications as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON)
Oversee the operation of nursing labs
Manage external contracts including medical waste removal.
Coordinate National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exams and student application.
Develop and revise healthcare curriculum to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and governing agencies.
Provide input for the development of nursing program standards and policies regarding admission, progression, and graduation.
Conduct research and marketing to increase number and scope of workforce development contracts and services
Establish and maintain relationships with clinical sites
Coordinate and implement quarterly instructor meetings and staff development offerings for nursing assistant instructors
Evaluate and Assist with recruitment of instructors
Design and teach assigned class session leveraging digital content and multi-media resources in the classroom.
Create a learning environment that facilitates self-reflection, personal goal setting, and socialization to the role of the nurse
Create appropriate assessment instruments to evaluate educational outcomes.
Implement curriculum revisions using appropriate change theories and strategies
Assesses student's engagement and understanding during each class session.
Collect, grade and report assignments and homework.
Instruct didactic and clinical classes in the certified Nursing Assistant, Medicine Aide and Advanced Patient Care Skills program
Assist in the analysis of assessment and evaluation data
Participate on internal and external committees on behalf of the department and the division
Mentor and support faculty colleagues in the role of an academic nurse educator
Track and report Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) exam pass rates, student completion and outcomes, and instructor effectiveness
