The College of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Lecturer in Political Science position for the Department of Social Sciences. The position requires teaching both lower and upper division courses in Political Science, including research methods and statistics. Teach the equivalent of four 3 credit hour courses in political science/government during fall and spring semesters. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes. Flexible to suit course schedule.
Required Qualifications: â¢ Ph.D. Degree or ABD in Political Science, or related field from a regionally accredited institution. â¢ 18 graduate hours in Political Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: â¢ Ph.D. in Political Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution. â¢ College or University teaching experience. â¢ Experience teaching online and hybrid formats. â¢ Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting. â¢ Experience in culturally diverse settings.
Priority date for applications is October 1, 2019 with an anticipated start date of Spring 2020. The position is open until filled. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, three original letters of recommendation less than one year old and bearing the writer's actual signature, as well as official transcripts from each degree-granting institution must be received directly by the Search Committee Chair.
