Leon County Government is inviting applications for the position of County Attorney. The County Attorney provides and supervises legal services to the Board of County Commissioners as well as other County Departments, Boards, and agencies as required. The County Attorney reports directly to the Board of County Commissioners and serves at its pleasure.
The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree and a member of the Florida Bar in good standing with at least ten years of experience practicing law, including considerable experience in the practice of local government law. Experience supervising or managing other attorneys and experience in Florida county government is preferred.
