A Business Analyst will support multiple complex projects and serve as the principal interface and liaison between business stakeholders, IT team and vendors. This position will work under the supervision of the IT Manager and the Director of Products for the HealthySteps program to ensure continuous progression of multiple and complex technology and software development projects. Additionally, this role will ensure timely escalation of issues, continuous reporting of status and quality assurance of technology products. The BA will connect multiple technical and non-technical teams together by performing effective stakeholder management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interact with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine their functional needs.
Create strong and highly productive working relationships to ensure quality outputs.
Gather, document, present, and validate solution requirements, business processes, system dependencies, and associated risks together with the IT vendors.
Perform analysis of current systems, integrations and user needs, and document future state requirements.
Plan, evaluate, track, analyze and coordinate projects and prepare required project documentation.
Develop detailed plans, schedules, project estimates, risk and issue mitigation plans, and status with the project team and implementation vendors.
Maintain a technical quality assurance plan to check for systems issues steaming from new configurations and upgrades.
Maintain a non-technical QA plan to regularly check for data entry errors and work with various staff to implement QA checks
Utilize Agile project management methodology to guide all projects in a consistent, organized and reliable manner.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct the initial UAT and provide feedback to IT and vendors using Jira project management tool.
Facilitate seamless communication within all stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to internal and external project team members in a timely and clear fashion.
Meticulously understand existing processes, recognize and propose process changes to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
Establishes project portfolio management road maps for driving the implementation and ongoing project governance, project management and business analysis functions.
Assists program and project teams with change management, project coaching and training on processes and tools.
Effectively coordinate and lead project-related meetings, providing a clear agenda in advance and document meeting minutes accurately.
Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and training manuals.
Conduct user training to ensure adoption and a positive user experience.
Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the program.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience as Business Analyst
Experience with Salesforce, AWS and Jira is a plus
Strong analytical and agile skills
Ability to communicate with diverse set of stakeholders across business and technology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience documenting technology requirements, requirement analysis tools/methodologies Knowledge of process re-engineering methodologies and process flow-charting
Experience participating as a member of a project team through all phases of the project lifecycle, from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, process mapping, development, testing, and go live

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is constantly required to use finger dexterity as well as sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, may need to remain seated for long periods of time and have the ability to perform repetitive motions, push objects, reach for objects and grasp objects, including a writing instrument. Employee is frequently required to walk, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. The employee may be required to bend, stand, pull objects, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
The work conditions described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home office. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
