The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for working with the school’s Behavior Health Team in order to administer support to students and families in the areas of academics, behavioral health, attendance and social-emotional learning. The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for administering interventions and tracking progress towards set goals to ensure student success.
Provide academic, behavior and attendance interventions for Tier II and III students
Ensure MTSS processes, protocols, timelines and implementation plans are implemented with fidelity and meet the needs of our students
Responsible for serving as an integral member of the school’s Behavioral Health Team and overseeing the implementation of students interventions
Collaborate and confer with counselors, teachers, administrators and other school staff to develop and follow up on a sequence of interventions for at risk students
Implement the school’s restorative justice program with fidelity and ensure that behavior interventions include important components of the school restorative justice program
Establish and maintain high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary, ensuring that the rights of students are upheld
Develop systems and programs to support students that struggle with the school’s expectations regarding attendance, behavior and academic achievement
Consult and collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns and needs
Provide individual counseling and group counseling to help students cope effectively with personal, social, academic, career and family concerns
Foster sound and effective interpersonal relationships among students, teachers, parents and administrators

Fiercely organized and execution-oriented (experience managing many moving parts and consistently delivering on time)
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the leadership team
Acute attention to detail coupled with the ability to think and act strategically
Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions
Personal qualities of maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and a roll-up-my-sleeves attitude

Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred areas of study: Social Work, School Counseling, Secondary Education
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, and basic office equipment
Work Related Experience:
2-4 years of work experience in a similar role preferred.
