PKG PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR , Priscilla King Gray (PKG) Center , to collaborate with PKG Center staff and colleagues from across MIT to develop and administer the center's social impact employment programs, connecting enrolled MIT students with jobs and learning opportunities in organizations focused on positive community outcomes. Will collaborate with Student Financial Services on the off-campus Federal Work-Study Program, promoting the opportunity to eligible students and partner agencies, meeting spending targets, maintaining compliance with federal rules and regulations, and promoting student learning and community benefit; develop complementary opportunities for students not using Federal Work-Study funds and develop community partner strategies and tools for the center; and supervise one graduate assistant and one to three undergraduate program assistants. Partnerships with external organizations (particularly nonprofits and government agencies) are a cornerstone of the center's programs, values, and mission. Will manage programming that engages MIT students in ways that are defined by community partners, builds partner capacity, and yields significant community impact; and support MIT student learning and development through thoughtfully-designed, well-supervised work experiences relevant to MIT students' talents/interests.
REQUIRED : B.A./B.S. (master's preferred); at least two years' progressively responsible experience in higher education, nonprofit management, or similar field; excellent organizational and project management skills; teamwork orientation; ability to work under minimal supervision and exercise initiative to meet and anticipate emerging issues and requirements and prioritize tasks; careful attention to detail; excellent computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets and databases and comfort learning new software; discretion when working on sensitive/confidential matters with students, families, coworkers, and the public; and a commitment to diversity and ability to work with a highly diverse student population. Salary range: $50-65,000
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and/or weekends (two to four times per month) and travel on occasion.
