The Department of English, Communications and Media at Salve Regina University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor with a start date of September 1, 2020.
The successful candidate will combine expertise in public relations and social media with a generalist's ability to teach courses in media studies and media writing. The ability to develop new courses on topics such as strategic communications, digital content strategies, public relations research, global communications, and strategies for cause-related nonprofits is desired; professional experience in public relations would be a plus.
A Ph.D. in communications, public relations, or a related field is required as is successful college-level teaching experience. ABD applicants considered, but all degree requirements must be complete by August 2020. The university's teaching load is 3-4.
