The Assistant to the President and Liaison to the Board of Trustees is integral to the governance systems of the College. Responsibilities include planning and crafting schedules for three Board meetings per year, compiling Board materials, attending to event details, facilitating communications with the Board, and implementing best practices related to Board governance. In addition to working closely with Trustees, this person is centrally involved with the work of the President’s Office, supervising staff and working directly with the President and the staff team to advance the mission of the College. This position reports to the Vice President and Chief of Staff.
This is a full-time year-round position. Desired Start Date: October 1, 2019.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral; exceptional organizational and managerial skills; high productivity and accuracy in details; and strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, website management). Discretion and political acumen are essential. Preferred: Master’s degree and previous experience working in higher education. Knowledge of governing boards and experience with trustees or directors.
