Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Medical Assistant Experience Preferred
At least 2 yearsâ experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in a healthcare environment.
Previous clinic experience desired.
Experience with medical assistant duties, including vital signs
General knowledge of Environmental Health and Services (EHS), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Radiation Safety and Protection procedures
General knowledge of exam protocols
Extremely Customer Service Oriented
Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Able to react quickly in emergencies; must be able to quickly identify appropriate staff when crisis situations arise
Able to efficiently prioritize multiple high-priority tasks
BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.Â
Current ARRT required.
Valid and current Radiologic Technology License
Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit
As an integral part of the Imaging Services Team; the Radiologic Technologist provides support to the Department by performing diagnostic radiology procedures in a variety of clinical settings. Must have an in depth knowledge in all the functions of the Admitting Department. Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology. In depth knowledge of all insurance types, including government health programs
