The USC School of Pharmacy is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations to grow and sustain the alumni relations program.Â Â Â This position will include managing annual giving with the Universities Alumni Giving Office.Â Qualify and solicit gifts of $25,000.00 and under and work with Major Gift Officers to share giving opportunities above $25,000.00. Â He or she will create strategies and build programs to engage annual giving with alumni donors and collaborate with the Coordinator of Events to create and manage signature events related to alumni.
The ideal candidate for the position will have a minimum of five years of experience fundraising. A strong track record of securing annual & alumni gifts and growing an annual fund and alumni relations program.Â Strong project management skills are a must. Â This position will report to the Chief Development Officer.
Professional experience in higher education is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan and execute strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit annual and alumni gifts; oversee all required stewardship activities, including acknowledging and reporting on gifts; contribute to the schools overall fundraising plan, goals and objectives.
Manage a portfolio of prospects and growing the prospect pool; create strong relationships with alumni and annual gifts donors and influencers; utilize alumni networks to increase support for the school.
Author/edit proposals to secure smaller gifts from individuals.
Contribute to constituent database to ensure current and complete donor records; utilize prospect management system; ensure compliance with university gift policies as well as laws and regulations governing charitable giving.
Evaluate and report the efficacy and ROI of annual giving and alumni relations activities.
