We are looking for a Senior Manager and Director to support us in maintaining our reputation as a leader in Advisory services both in Bermuda and globally.
Our client is looking for a Senior Manager/Director with exceptional leadership skills and significant experience and a proven track record in Risk Consulting, including, but not limited to, experience in managing a diverse portfolio of engagements and working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the following services to insurance industry clients:
Governance, Risk and Compliance services, including: ▪Business process design, implementation and operating reviews; ▪Enterprise risk management assessments; ▪Governance, regulatory and compliance analysis; and ▪Capital planning including consideration of regulatory rating agency and actuarial models.
IPO services including: ▪Initial public offering readiness reviews; ▪Production of policy and procedure documentation; ▪Implementation and maintenance of SOX; and compliance program.
Internal Audit support, including: ▪Management of internal audit testing; ▪Design and effectiveness testing of controls; and ▪Supporting transactions and achievement of target operating models.
Candidates must have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
A minimum of 5 years (Senior Manager) and 10 years (Director) of experience with a strong background in public practice, or within the risk management, internal audit, strategic planning or compliance functions of an insurance company, or as a consultant;
An in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and related regulatory environment;
Understanding of Solvency II and / or equivalent regulatory regimes;
An accounting and / or auditing qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent or CIA) is required plus experience in external or internal auditing of the insurance industry;
Experience in designing a risk based control framework and in both design and effectiveness testing of controls;
Experience with Sarbanes Oxley or financial reporting processes and controls within larger private or public company;
Knowledge of and experience with SOC reporting (ISAE3401/SSAE 16);
Demonstrable critical thinking skills, with the ability to review and provide comment on complex risk and financial information;
Excellent project management and organisational skills are essential and experience in leading, and working with senior management on complex engagements;
First class written and oral communication skills; this includes the ability to produce and review complex financial reports and proposals;
Strong presentation skills as the role requires regular internal and external presentations to be delivered as well as a proven ability to competently discuss related matters with clients;
Exceptional people skills with the ability to work with clients and staff of all levels (including the ability to provide business and technical mentorship to members of the Advisory team);
A proven track record in strong business development and excellent client relationship skills;
A self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task on a daily basis and maintain high levels of drive and resilience;
A high degree of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required;
A willingness and capacity to work overtime and/or travel at short notice is essential as this is a highly demanding environment with tight reporting deadlines;
The ability to work independently with minimum supervision and a proven ability to work with and manage a diverse team is essential;
Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams; and
Must be a mature, self-motivated individual who is well organised, hardworking, enthusiastic and professional.
