Pratt Institute's Academic Computing Service Department is seeking a dynamic Technology Support Specialist to join our team on our historic Brooklyn campus.
Responsible for providing technical services guidance, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC) audiovisual equipment, events, and facility operations in a Mac/ Windows networked environment.
maintains Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC) and Conference Room electronics including computers, peripherals, and A/V equipment
responds to Service Desk requests for classroom and conference room multimedia and system troubleshooting campus-wide via phone, email, remote desktop, and in person
provides problem reports and feedback from users to system developers for corrections, modifications, improved performance, and end-user satisfaction
participates in the planning, design, and integration of Audio/ Visual systems throughout the Pratt Campus, as determined by TEC Design & Operations Manager
assists with identifying trends, making recommendations on process, and technical improvements where appropriate
assists with leading problem and incident management
updates and re-images TEC computers as needed
assists with budget preparation; generate requisitions for equipment purchase, supplies, and repairs as needed
supports faculty, students, and users with audio visual technology and related equipment; provides troubleshooting, training, and assists with producing visual guides
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with computing, multimedia and audiovisual technologies
Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a networked Mac/ Windows environment, preferably supporting educators
Skills: Great listening and communication required. The ability to provide excellent support to a diverse community.
