Purpose and Scope: The Manager, Evening and Weekend directs and coordinates department activities during evening and weekend hours, creating and implementing processes to ensure effective operations. Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with others to obtain data required for planning department activities such as prioritizing work, and status of work and problems encountered. Gives directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Monitors costs and budgets and provides input into budget planning. Evaluates procedures, practices and personnel.
Essential Job Functions: Assists in the overall operations of the department including budget planning, preparation and maintenance, ensuring all department procedures, practices and policies are carried out appropriately
Manages, trains and supervises full time and part time staff
Provides verification information regarding students, including but not limited to acceptance letters, graduation verification, enrollment verification for external agencies and direct enrollment verification to students
Manages resolution process for student issues/complaints and communicates resolution to students; Acts as first-line management of student requests and issues, including but not limited to emergency tuition refunds, student complaints, withdrawal requests, grade questions, appeals, etc. Works with recruitment and retentions areas to ensure support for activities; Ensures proper materials and information are available as needed
Provides faculty with Management support for student issues
Some positions may manage operations of assigned campus and associated Centers during evening and weekend hours; Includes ensuring safety, security, facility, emergency needs are being met Manages special programs and projects as assigned
Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
Required: Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
