JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of anassigned supervisor, the Administrative Coordinator assists the ProgramDirector in the daily management of the Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)residency program including, but is not limited to, resident scheduling,organizing recruitment of new residents, managing the interview and matchprocess, and ensuring the completion and maintenance of appropriate residentdocumentation. Ensures compliance with governing bodies of resident educationand obstetrics/gynecology, in order to maintain appropriate accreditation.
Supports the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director daily. Schedules and coordinates semi and annual evaluations and graduations of residents by PD and Associate PD. Prepares documents.
Coordinates resident annual events throughout the year such as recruiting, Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) testing, Match Day, Research Day, new intern orientation, and graduation activities.
Prepares various verification documents for Program Director's signature.
Prepares documents for Departmental Education Committee and Clinical Competency Committee to improve resident clinical and educational experiences.
Schedules and coordinates appointments for Program Director.
Represents the department at various Graduate School of Medicine, Graduate Medical Education and regional/national organization functions, and serves as needed.
Supports OB/GYN residents by managing the software system (MedHub) for resident evaluations by faculty and resident rotation experiences.
Prepares and distributes rotation/call schedules for resident rotations.
Assists residents in application for various tests needed throughout the four-year program.
Maintains leave requests and resident files. Updates resident status in the program with national governing organizations.
Prepares documents for travel and reimbursement.
Represents OB/GYN Department at regional and national educational meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
