P&A Overview: The Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for partnering within the business and across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, central oversight and coordination of firmwide budgeting and forecasting, macroeconomic scenario design and distribution, and strategic program management and execution. This includes oversight for firmwide reporting across all four lines of business (LOB): Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Asset Management (AM), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Bank (CB). Additionally, P&A helps drive and improve automation, simplification of processes and the enhancement of analytics. These roles primarily support the strategic analysis of our financial planning framework, in addition to partnering closely with LOB business teams and functions for core financial reporting, process improvement, ad-hoc analysis and due diligence.
Team Overview: CCB Analytics and P&A is a dynamic team that directly supports the CCB CFO. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management, which support decision-making on high-profile, topical issues. In partnership with strategy and finance teams across the CCB businesses (i.e., Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Home Lending, Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Auto), the team assists Investor Relations on workstreams leading to public disclosure associated with CCB's strategy, financial performance and industry trends, such as quarterly earnings, Investor Day, and industry conferences. The team also manages the monthly/quarterly forecast process and annual budget/mid-year forecast analytics and reporting, and serves as the 'center of excellence' for competitive intelligence.
The VP candidate will be an integral member of the team, contributing to a variety of projects/workstreams:
CCB annual/monthly financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting processes
Budget process including coordinating consolidation of CCB 3-year budget as well as preparing materials for CCB and firmwide senior management
Assist with materials for CCB leadership team meetings and external forums (i.e. Investor Day)
Ad-hoc analytics and presentations for senior management
Work to enhance consistency across existing processes and reporting to meet changing needs of the business and drive process synergies
Drive increased collaboration / partnership across finance teams both within CCB and across the larger finance organization
Drive change within the P&A function including defining dashboards for the business
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance;experience in Retail Financial Services (Consumer Banking, Business Banking,Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Finance) and in planning, forecasting, andbudgeting preferred
Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
Ability to work across senior levels of theorganization including with the CFO of CCB
