The Compliance Consultant SWHP perform Compliance Department assigned regulatory functions including communication, tracking, and document resolution of regulatory changes. The Compliance Consultant SWHP communicate to health plan business unitsï¿½ regulatory changes or requirements. The Compliance Consultant SWHP leads and provides support for operational duties assigned to the Compliance Department.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
1.Tracks completions of Code of Conduct Attestations by SWHP Staff and report findings to appropriate personnel.
2.Assists with oversight and development of health plan policy and procedure oversight and training to comply with regulatory requirements.
3.Responsible for identification and analysis of published new and revised legislative and regulatory requirements for all lines of business. Performs review, identification of impacted business units, distributes information, and ensures process changes are completed to meet regulatory requirements.
4.Assists business units to identify materials/documents that require regulatory approval. Reviews, submits, tracks, and coordinates with assigned regulatory agencies for the filing of required documents.
5.Lead meetings with business units to communicate legislative and regulatory changes and provide clarification and training for regulatory obligations.
6.Provide support to assigned Compliance team members for review of metrics, performance of audits, and other compliance duties.
7.Coordinates with Baylor Scott & White Health Corporate Compliance team to implement system-wide activities/surveys as assigned.
8.Coordinates data collection and timely responses to external regulatory agencies complaints, data requests, and surveys as assigned.
9.Tracks, trends, and reports above compliance activities as required.
The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills; leadership and analytical thinking skills including proven experience leading and managing compliance programs/function through teamwork, collaboration and open communication; and a strong understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements; and in-depth knowledge of government programs and the managed care industry.
