Essential Functions: The Department of Management and Information Systems at the Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking to fill a tenure track position in Information Systems (IS) to begin Fall of 2020 at the assistant or associate level. Candidates will be expected to conduct research suitable for publication in top tier journals, teach courses in areas of interest at the undergraduate and graduate level, participate in department and school governance activities, and perform related duties as assigned.Assistant or Associate Professor Level contingent upon available funding.
Qualifications: Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a relevant discipline, and a record of publishing (Associate level) or evidence of potential to publish (Assistant level) in leading academic journals.
Desired is a record of excellence in teaching IS core and concentration courses such as Analysis of Big Data, Databases, Data Analytics, and/or other information systems courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The ideal candidate would have a record of service to the profession, and the ability to establish effective relationships with faculty and staff. Salary and benefits packages are competitive.
