MORE ABOUT THIS JOB YOUR IMPACT As an Analyst / Associate in Corporate Risk based in London, you will play a key role in leading the Risk Division's engagement on significant new business initiatives and in managing the regional Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee for the main EMEA entities of Goldman Sachs. The Risk Division is a team of specialists charged with managing the firm's credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm's counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm's success. The division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.
The Corporate Risk department is a function within the Risk Division with oversight across risk disciplines (i.e. mark et risk, credit risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk). It is responsible for managing the Division's oversight of new business initiatives so as to establish consistent and robust risk management coverage and governance on such businesses. In addition, Corporate Risk is responsible for internal corporate governance including managing the regional Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee and the associated Risk Appetite Statement frameworks. In performing its role, the Corporate Risk department works closely with all areas within the Risk Division, as well as wi th various groups across the firm including Controllers, Business Units, Technology and Executive Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Protect and manage the firm's risk profile by developing or enhancing internal risk processes and frameworks to address the evolving activities of the fir
Establish an inventory and status quo of cross risk business activities and ensure timely progress on Risk considerations and deliverables
Contribute to the evaluation and assessments of the risks associated with the new activities
Interact with stakeholders within the Risk Division and across other Divisions as part of the project evaluations
Create presentations and escalation material to the regional Chief Risk Officer, the global Division head and other Managing Directors in the Risk functions
Manage and enhance the design of the Risk Appetite Statement framework incorporating assessments on business strategy, capital planning, capacity allocation and limit calibration
Coordinate the regional Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee materials, working closely with the regional Chief Risk Officer, the heads of Risk functions, as well as stakeholders in Executive Office, Legal and Controllers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of work experience
Strong familiarity with investment banking products including loan products and derivatives
Strong documentation, analytical, presentational and communication skills
Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of the Risk Division, including senior management
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Functional Expertise - Keeps up-to-date with emerging regulation, as well as business, economic, and market trends that may have implications for credit risk capital.
