The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day CBO operations, answering staff questions, assigning work, tracking work performance and managing time and attendance. Working under the direction of a department manager, the Revenue Cycle Supervisor assists with performance reviews, managing workload, resolving issues and improving operations.
High School diploma or equivalent.
2 years hospital or physician revenue cycle or 2 years experience working for a health plan in a capacity that pays claims, handles appeals and/or reviews contract terms.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to resolve complex claims by applying contract terms, reimbursement rules and payer and government policies and coverage guidelines.
Knowledge of the coding and billing rules and how they impact reimbursement.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various staff to get them to perform to their highest level.
Knowledge of healthcare related financial and/or accounting practices
Ability to manipulate data using excel.
Ability to deal effectively with constant changes and be a change agent.
Detailed knowledge of health plan operations, reimbursement methodologies, payer contracts and clinical policies
Knowledge of state, federal and compliance regulations as they pertain to coding and billing processes and procedures.
Prior experience with Epic Systems Revenue Cycle Solutions preferred
