This professional-level fellowship is the premier opportunity for outstanding health and medical professionalsto learn first-hand about policymaking, bring valuable expertiseto policy, and enhance the health & medical sciences in the federal government.
Gain hands-on policy experience, help develop and execute solutions to address societal challenges, and join a strong corps of over 3,000 policy-savvy alumni fellows working across sectors to serve the nation and citizens around the world.
Fellows serve yearlong assignments in all three branches of the federal government in Washington D.C. and represent a broad range of backgrounds, disciplines and career stages. Fellow contributions can include global health, supporting healthy communities, and health research. STPF is seeking candidates with strong scientificcredentials, an interest in career transformation, and a desire to help impact federal policy.
Application deadline for the 2020-21 fellowship year is November 1, 2019.?Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship and a doctoral-level degree. Applicants with an M.S. in engineering and three years of professional experience also qualify.
- Doctoral-level degree (PhD, MD, DVM, DSc, etc.) in any scientific, social science, or engineering discipline, OR a Master’s in engineering with three years of engineering related professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
STIPEND & BENEFITS
