Job Description Summary
"Ideal candidate for the position National Vendor Manger will be responsible for effective performance management of various Auto claim vendors servicing TD Insurance, driving cost, quality and customer experience.
Strong experience required in vendor management to ensuring compliance with TD supplier risk management policies, including vendor segmentation and implementation of effective vendor management framework governance models. Providing operational support; vendor execution and oversight during catastrophic events is an integral part of this position.
Managing diverse business operations
Lead the implementation and sustainability of TD's Effective Vendor Management Framework (EVMF) for different vendor categories.
Provide oversight, analysis and reporting on TDI's compliance with key TD risk and expense policies
Support vendor selection process, either in partnership with Strategic Sourcing Group via RFP process or self-serve
Contribute to strategic planning and vendor analysis based on knowledge of supply market and previous vendor engagement
Lead identification and development of process-improvement strategies to generate efficiencies and ensure vendor compliance to internal policy
Develop recommendations related to vendor services and industry best practices to deliver KPIs
Analyse trends and assesses risks associated with performance and policies
Develop and execute action/ performance improvement plans to deliver best-in-class vendor performance
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to support strategies to standardize sourcing activity, consolidate vendor partners and manage demand at reduced cost
Manage contractual obligations and agreement compliance in line with expense authorization limit as outlined in the TDBG Expense Policy
Work with vendor / business partners to provide consolidated financial reporting to Business Leaders as required
Improve controls and own the responsibility for ensuring compliance to targets for cost, delivery timelines and service levels
Ability to manage multiple strategic vendor relationships that are significant in scope, complexity
Own accountability for delivering Legendary customer experience goals, especially those influenced by vendor performance
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure thorough resolution or appropriate escalation based on risks associated with customer impact
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal TD partners and vendor(s) to ensure business priorities are clearly understood and met, and objectives are aligned
Operate as main point of contact for external vendors, consultants, and TD Executives for one or more strategic, critical and/or enterprise vendor relationship
Provide advice and guidance to business partners and Vendor Managers based on best-practices to optimize and secure value from third-party relationships
Understand contractual terms and conditions, and their economic implications to the business in order to effectively manage vendor agreement(s) and relationship(s)
Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to share business, industry and vendor insights in support of strategic planning and contract negotiations
Implement strategic direction set by Business Leaders across all lines of business
Engage business partners to ensure active participation on vendor governance and oversight, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
Develop in-depth industry knowledge pertaining to vendor relationships and upcoming business trends and transformations

Knowledge and skills
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related discipline
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a vendor management, people management and/or strategic sourcing function
Strong Vendor Management experience with demonstrated track of leading a national footprint in a complex environment
Knowledge of principles/processes for delivering excellent customer experience and ability to consistently meet quality standards and evaluations of customer satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems and ability to influence key decision makers
Demonstrated adaptability, agility and innovation.
Excellent computer skills and intermediate/ advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Power Point, Excel
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Bilingual (French/English) an asset
