Definition Formulate the training strategy to drive employee development, performance and engagement. Drive conviction for our strategy and culture by investing in a program to craft messaging and empower leaders/managers to communicate timely, relevant, and aligned messages to the front-lines. Individuals in this group build, review and/or deliver all training modules for Commercial, ensure that learning sessions are effective and engaging, provide individualized coaching, communicate regularly with Commercial managers and HR Business Partners on employee/team progress, communicate regularly with Commercial leadership to maintain alignment, review macro-level HR processes and programs, and assist with other training for in-house processes.

Develops the organization's educational strategy to support the business objectives
Institutes effective training strategies
Identifies skills and knowledge gaps and develops new offerings accordingly
Works with Commercial Leadership to promote culture based programs or initiatives
Supports change management
Analyzes and evaluates sales training and performance metrics
Promotes importance of learning and ROI to stakeholders
Drives the operational deployment and adoption of key Commercial strategic platforms and initiatives
Participates as Commercial advocate in product launch discussions to help ensure Commercial team readiness
Collaborates with HR and L&D teams to promote Corporate training programs and identify target candidates
Manages relationships with external training vendors

Has advanced knowledge of business groups and products.
Has advanced knowledge of core learning principles, blended learning applications, and learning management systems.
Directs the resolution of complex and strategic issues in Commercial training and performance.
Resolves issues in development and deployment of training resources.
Works with Commercial Leadership and management across departments to develop training strategy and development programs to best support business goals.
Works with Corporate HR and L&D teams.
Works with external vendors to provide additional training and knowledge resources.

Minimum and Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced degree in a related field is desirable.
Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills
Develops the organization's educational strategy to support the business objectives.
Must have experience in implementing effective training strategies within a global organization.
Identifies skills and knowledge gaps and develops new offerings accordingly.
Must have Global Commercial Management work experience.
Must have strong experience of managing front line Commercial teams globally
Must have strong experience managing global teams.
Experience with Diagnostic Business Development
Prior experience working in financial services required.
Experience designing and delivering diagnostic selling principles in a large global organization
Expert knowledge of the CapitalIQ platform (from both a content and functionality prospective including Propietary Data use), Excel Plug-in and other S&P Global Market Intelligence Desktop products such as Ratings Direct.
Designing and delivering training related to all Market Intelligence products
Full proficiency on Salesforce.com, Client Services workflow and procedures for handling cases and escalation paths.
