The role we are hiring for will be a part of the Valuation Risk and Control (VRC). This role is a Valuation Risk Control role within PC, covering the XVA/ APAC FID division with a focus on Credit risk factors.
1.Formulating and conducting independent price verification (IPV) processes.
2.Reviewing the appropriateness of valuation methodology and ensure trades are valued using approved valuation methodology.
3.Providing timely, thorough and in-depth analysis and commentary for price testing and performing unauthorized trading detection controls.
4.Supporting audit and regulatory requirements.
5.Supporting Pre-Trade and material Day 1 PL reviews from a valuations control perspective.
6.Contribute to the valuation governance processes and supporting the relevant product valuations working groups.
7.Presenting summary level analysis to global product head.
8.Reviewing and challenging IPV results received from offshore deployment centers.
9.Supporting innovation and building new solutions to improve processes and controls.
To be considered for the role, you must offer:
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
1.You have a Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics or quantitative-related subject.
2.You have around 5 years of experience in Valuation Control, Risk, Product Control or Structured Middle Office related function.
3.You are highly numerate with good product and valuation technique knowledge in Rates/FX derivatives..
4.You have strong communication skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly to senior management.
5.You possess business partnership skills to resolve issues with local product teams.
6.You have the ability to partner regional teams with senior stakeholders and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
7.You possess strong Excel skills with a working knowledge of Excel VBA.
8.You have high level of integrity and accountability with a strong sense of urgency and an orientation towards delivering results.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
1.A recognized professional accountancy or post graduate degree in finance is helpful but not necessary.
2.Knowledge of Python or R programming language will be helpful.
