Specialist V/VI, Information Technology (Identity & Access Management Systems Engineer)

The Office of Information Technology is seeking candidates for the position of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Systems Engineer. Auburn University's IAM / Meta Directory team provides full user life cycle management for faculty, staff, student and departmental identities that are the backbone for many of the critical applications and business processes across both the Auburn and Montgomery campuses. This position will fill the immediate need to maintain existing core processes regarding access management of AU's ERP, Active Directory and Office 365 environments as well as identifying efficiency improvements and developing solutions to automate and orchestrate repeatable tasks for IAM. Additionally, the chosen candidate will have an exciting opportunity to play an integral role on the team charged with implementing a replacement IAM system in order to leverage modern technologies and best practices within the IAM space. Experience working with a wide variety of technical and non-technical staff at all University levels is expected so excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Entry into the applicant pool for Level V requires a Bachelor's degree and four (4) or more years of experience in user life cycle management. Salaries are typically between $60K and $72K.
Consideration for Level VI requires a Bachelor's degree and seven (7) or more years of experience in user life cycle management. Salaries are typically between $70K and $85K.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated experience and success working both in a collaborative team environment and independently. Candidates must also be skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple concurrent tasks and/or projects.
Required skills include:
User life cycle management (at an academic institution is preferred)
Familiar with Ellucian Banner or other similar ERP system
Familiar with ServiceNow

In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above, desired qualifications for this position include an earned degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution or relevant work experience.
