Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field.
Three to five years’ experience; one to two years’ in compensation preferred.
Knowledge of government regulations applicable to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies and operations.
Experience working with highly compensated individuals and executives a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Report to the Director, Executive Compensation who, in turn, reports to the Vice President, Head of Corporate Compensation.
Provide analytical support to the Director for the management of Guardian compensation programs and administering of compensation programs for senior officers of the company.
Participate in a broad range of compensation activities including, but not limited to market pricing analysis/evaluation, preparation of executive level reports, reviewing communications and plan design.
Under guidance of the Director, Executive Compensation coordinate with Human Resource, Legal, Finance, Tax/Compliance and Operating Teams to facilitate and ensure complete end-to-end administration of compensation programs.
Create, organize and maintain executive data so that it can quickly and easily be referenced.
Assist in the project planning and submission of materials to the Human Resources and Governance Committee and Board of Directors.
Participate in executive survey matching sessions and complete market analysis.
Support the Head of Compensation and/or Compensation team on large initiatives and ad hoc reports.
