Description The Leave of Absence (LOA) Centralized Services facilitate the leave process by providing the supervisor and employee appropriate information and forms in accordance with the University's leave policies. The LOA unit assists divisions supported by LOA Centralized Services with the following leaves of absence:employee's own serious health condition,family member's serious health condition, pregnancy disability leave, parental bonding, military leave (exigency, family and uniformed training/service), personal leave,union business leave and workers' compensation leave.

Qualifications REQUIRED -Bachelor's or Master's degree in a position-related field, or a minimum of 5 years internal experience processing Leave of Absences (LOAs) -Minimum of three years of demonstrated management experience -Knowledge of federal and state legislation regarding family and medical leaves -Demonstrated skills, knowledge and ability in personnel management, administrative coordination, fiscal policy and clinical practice -Knowledge of employee relations, appraisal techniques, and policies and procedures to evaluate employee job skills and performance -Knowledge of union contracts specifically how it relates to employee leaves of absence -Understanding of the functions and use of Ecotime time and attendance system, and Ecotime FML/LOA module.

Responsibilities The LOA Centralized Services Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of human and material resources needed to administer a leaves management/leave of absence program for UC Davis Health (UCDH). Responsibilities include, but not limited to, operational and administrative management, financial management, personnel and resource management, and program, system, and employee development. This position is also responsible for the UCDH Transitional Work-Accommodations Program. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the HR Shared Services.
