CBRE is hiring an Associate Research Director for CBRE's Strategic Consulting (SC) team. The SC team works with CBRE's top investor clients to provide strategic investment guidance using market forecasts and insights and data analysis to maximize investment returns.
The SC team covers all major markets and property sectors, with each work product customized to the client's needs. The services provided by the team may include:
Working with executive teams to refine strategic initiatives and validate market strategies
Assisting in market selection or targeting for new and existing funds/portfolios
Complementing and augmenting the real estate research departments of firms requiring customized research expertise
Providing on-going insight into the commercial real estate investment environment
Monitoring market conditions specific to existing portfolios or in support of new funds
Key Responsibilities Understand and navigate key sources of economic and real estate data (e.g. government data sources, internal national and market-level commercial real estate data, NCREIF, Real Capital Analytics, etc.)
Undertake quantitative analysis with time series econometrics techniques and convert to transparent and defensible market forecasts
Create and maintain data systems that allow the team to perform analysis efficiently
Client engagement, including leading initial and ongoing discussions with clients regarding their research needs and presenting the team's findings and recommendations
Management and execution of client projects, including data collection, analysis and creation of written deliverables and presentation materials, and supervising other team members on projects
Deep understanding of macro and regional economics and real estate, including all major U.S. markets, some international markets and property types.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; Master's degree with two to four years of experience strongly desired.
4-8 years of experience in commercial real estate research.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex, detailed data in an engaging fashion to multiple audience types.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, Tableau, and other data software and programming.
