The Firmwide Financial Accounting & Reporting organization (FFAR) is responsible for the accuracy, integrity andtimeliness of the Firm's financial results - books and records, while providing financial reporting to both internal andexternal clients.
The FFAR organization closely examines the general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the business to ensure the firm's financial information is accurately depicted for reporting and regulation purposes. This financial information is used by external analysts to assess the firm's financial position; by management to make sound financial decisions; by investors to make informed decisions; and by regulators to superviseand examine the firm appropriately.
The most common functions and activities owned by Firmwide Financial Accounting and Reporting include but are not limited to the following: financial analysis, financial consolidation, reporting, balance sheet reconciliation/certification/substantiation, general ledger reconciliation reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, suspense analysis and clearing, manual accounting/bookings to the general ledger and operating systems, and execution of the month end financial close process.
The Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst will be required to work closely with the line of business controllers, Legal Entity Controllers and other key business partners.Change Controls The Change Control Analyst will be required to work closely with Controllers, Technology and Project team members to ensure any systemic or operational changes are fully understood and adequately tested before implementation. The Team is tasked with ensuring that BAU functions are not impacted negatively through change.
Work with Business team to document requirements
Manage aspects of testing including:
Key contact with technology and business team to ensure proper testing is done and processes we implement are ready for BAU
Work with the business in developing appropriate test cases and scenarios
Work with technology to manage defects and ensure they are prioritized and addressed in a timely basis
Assist in testing as feasible and applicable
Reference data setup for projects under guidance from business team for projects
Work with Business team to define and document appropriate operating models
Work with technology and business to develop a go live strategy and provide post go live support as necessary
Key liaison with the PMO and Technology teams attending PWG/PCC as appropriate
Manage the project demand list and prioritization process, ensure that we are focusing our resources on critical projects
Possess strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills

Aptitude for consuming large amounts of data quickly and apply acquired knowledge to improve and execute responsibilities

Accounting skills with an understanding of GAAP
Basic understanding of General ledger; prior exposure to relevant function an added advantage
Ability to build and maintain partnerships within the various product aligned businesses and across other corporate financial, treasury, and accounting groups
Ability to understand business drivers - working knowledge of financial products and services
Strong analytical skills: Ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system and general ledger systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies.
Strong team player with controllership mindset; ability to coordinate & establish strong connects across global teams (Delaware, NYC and India)
Control mindset, focused on reducing operational risk as appropriate
Constantly work to mobilize change in order to simplify processes and enhance controls
Good organizational and problem-solving skills
R equired Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Knowledge and experience with ledger, reporting and consolidating systems
Prior work experience of ~2 years
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
Familiar with industry standards and regulations
Knowledge of firm's products and services
